My husband bought me some beads for Mother's Day, what a sweety. He was travelling in the U.P. of Michigan (U.P. is for upper peninsula for non-Michiganians(?!*) or Michiganders (still trying to find out which is correct). He bought my favorite Petosky stones, some Specular hematite and Jasper/hematite which were all mined in MI.
